Forbes recently named Austin as America’s fastest growing city. With Houston and Dallas right behind, Austin’s estimated growth rate for 2013 is 2.7%.

With a growth rate of 2.7%, that’s adding 150 people EVERY DAY. While statistics range from 1 in 10 people are gay to 3.8% of adults identifying as gay or lesbian, that means that 5-15 new gay people are moving to Austin EVERY DAY.

When all is said and done, that means 1,825 to 5,475 new gay people are moving to Austin this year. Although there’s no exact way to count them, that’s exciting to know there’s new faces moving to Austin!
